We were blessed to have 92 kids show up for Day 1. Our expectations for day 2 was that there would be a decline in attendance because it was a beautiful day and most kids go to the lake for swimming and cliff jumping. We were wrong! We ended up with a total of 95 and 24 of them had not been there on the first day.
We were really pleased with the way the day went. We condensed and simplified everything based on what we learned on day 1. It was really fun to see that already they were singing along and doing the actions. In fact, we heard them singing down at the lake and in the yard when they were playing. The theme of VBS is JUMP which means Jesus Understands My uPs and downs. There is a JUMP rap that goes with the program and the kids have really taken to it. It has been a lot of fun.

ReplyDeleteAre you familiar with the melody to "95 bottles of......on the wall, 95 bottles....." Well, here goes a crazy lyric that came to my mind as I read this posting: 95 children taught the love of the Lord, 95 children "HORRAY", 95 children will witness for Him, in their own Canadian way. I think I better sign this anonymously :-).
